Last November 25th, 2024, the RGPC Platform[1] (General Anti-Corruption Framework) became operational and is now accessible to all entities subject to the relevant legal framework, available at https://entidade.mec-anticorrupcao.pt.
Although VCA has previously addressed this legal framework, pursuant to Articles 6 and 7 of the General Anti-Corruption Framework (RGPC), entities employing 50 or more employees are subject to the obligations arising from it, including registration on the RGPC Platform and completion of the corresponding forms.
Access to the platform varies depending on whether the entity is public or private:
- Public Entities already registered in the MENAC (National Anti-Corruption Mechanism) support system will receive a pre-registration notification sent to the registered email address, outlining the access procedure for the platform;
- Public Entities that do not receive the notification due to non-compliance with the pre-registration requirements should submit a request to registo@mec-anticorrupcao.pt;
- Private Entities must submit their access request to the platform via email to registo@mec-anticorrupcao.pt.
The deadline for registration on the RGPC Platform, submission of documents for regulatory compliance, and completion of the required questionnaire by the entities concerned has been extended to February 14th, 2025. Non-compliance may result in sanctions, as defined in the RGPC’s sanctioning regime.
Regarding entities, whether public or private, that have already submitted the required documentation[2] to MENAC (e.g., by mail or email), they must upload the most current versions of each regulatory compliance document via the RGPC Platform.
