The Tax Authority (AT) admits “occasional delays” on the issue of the settlement notices of due to the complexity introduced by the ‘Mais Habitação’ program support.
The Tax Authority (AT) had a deadline of July 31 to send the IRS settlement notices, but dozens of taxpayers have yet to receive the document. According to the Ministry of Finance, the delays are mainly attributed to the support from the ‘Mais Habitação’ program, which complicated the issuance process of the settlement notices.
The AT clarifies that the introduction of these new supports made the processing more complex, resulting in the verified delays.
The Tax Authority is working to resolve these issues and ensure that all taxpayers receive their settlement notices as soon as possible.
